Eva Harut

Eva Harut ist eine zeitgenössische Künstlerin. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Dresden.

Eva fing an zu zeichnen als sie in ihrer frühen Kindheit die Bleistifte von ihrer Mutter geschenkt bekam. Seitdem hat sie trotz unterschiedlicher Lebenssituationen ständig gemalt.

Eva machte ihr Diplom und Ihren Meisterabschluss als Künstlerin in Dresden. ".. aber eine Künstlerin zu sein ist kein Beruf für mich, sondern meine Lebensweise…“ sagt sie. Eva Harut ist international tätig. Ihre Kunstarbeiten wurden weltweit in zahlreichen Ausstellungen in Deutschland und im Ausland gezeigt und sind in renommierten Museen und privaten Sammlungen vertreten. Ihre künstlerische Praxis umfasst neben der bildenden Kunst ebenso Experimentalfilm und Schriftstellerei.

Sie betreibt ihr Atelier in Dresden und arbeitet als Gastdozentin für Bildende Kunst.

Beim Malen ist die Musik immer im Atelier dabei. Eva malt nur, wenn sie in guter Stimmung ist. Die Bilder sind dadurch dynamisch und lebendig und voller positiver Energie und sonniger Launen, die Eva gern mit der Welt teilen möchte.

The works of Eva Harut were created somewhere on the frontier or material and immaterial, consciousness and subconscious which constantly merge and cannot exist without the other.

Can it be shaped, can it be given a colour, can it be translated into the language of things?

The paintings of Eva is an attempt of transcribing a reality.  Emerge simplified, half-abstract portraits. We tread into an individual and intimate world by the means of fragmentary narration made up of torn sentences and expressive gestures. However, we do not feel strange there, because relations with another human are natural to each and every one of us".

Eva Harut – an artist, a writer, an author of several documentary/ experimentally films. She lives and works in Dresden.

Works of Eva reflect pieces of the artist’s life story: bright and monotonous, emotional and calm ones. One can perceive in these works Eva’s dreams and experiences, her feelings and wishes. Each painting is like an individual. She overlays acrylic paints on top of each other to form multi-colour layers, while sometimes she uses monotonous coats, symbolizing a life course, with all of its developments and circumstances. The images of Eva Harut are born from a multi-layer technique and therefore they are as alive and real as reality itself.

She does not mix paints, but covers one paint on another is exploring the theme of reality. It all began with a question: “What is reality?” Eva started to think about what constitutes us and our reality, where the “real” starts?  All these reflections are shown in her works. She also deals in her works with issues of interaction between her consciousness and subconsciousness. The artist is greatly interested in reality of human subconsciousness, which is, sometime, more real than the reality of conscious.
